On 10/11/2010 my beloved boy Don had to be put to sleep. During his last month there where increased signs that everything was not ok so I brought Don to the vet to be examined and hopefully get some kind of medication to help him.
However, the vet told me that Don was suffering from a massive brain tumor that still was growing and causing him pain. There was nothing that could be done apart from let Don go to stop him from suffering.
I am writing this with tears in my eyes, Don was such an important part of my life. I had already lost him once when my ex partner would not let me take him and was overjoyed when he finally agreed for me to take Don after 11 long months. I never thought that I would only get 2 months before I would lose him again, but this time forever. Still I am thankful for those 2 months.
I will never forget you Don, may you rest in peace. It was a joy to have you in my life and you didn't go without leaving something behind, your girl Fly will stay with me and I will do my best to do you proud with her.
Don is a very strong and typeful Malinois.
His lines combine the oldest and best french breeding you can find and this shows in this beautiful male.
Before importing him to Britain Don was being trained in Schutzhund, now he is working as a security and personal protection dog. He is one of the hardest dogs I have ever seen but still is extremely well balanced and has an excellent character.
His offspring tends to follow in his footsteps and show themselves already very promising.
Don's hips have been xrayed and marked as excellent, although we did not send off for scoring.
His eyes have been tested clear.
